We learned via Operation Meditation that self-empowerment means taking charge of your life and "involves recognizing that within each of us is the ability to live from our natural being state" Here are 5 ways to find self-empowerment and live a happy and stress-free life.
1. Be aware
Awareness is recognizing your environment, yourself and your power. The article stated that, "To fully be aware, you must acknowledge that you can disengage from stressful things. Awareness is about defining why you disempower self from environment in the first place." Essentially, stay aware of the power you have inside you to take back your life and lead it as your own.
2. Let go of the past
To live a peaceful life, you must live in the present moment. Holding onto grudges leaves you with anger that interferes with living in the now. The article stated that, "When you judge, criticize, or regret, there is an inner self laced with guilt. That person will experience depression and anxiety related to the past." Therefore, let go of the past and forgive, which is a part of achieving inner peace and empowerment.
3. Develop a new mindset
When you are open and willing to grow and learn as a human being, you create a new mindset. Think about your current thoughts and habits, do they serve your positively or negatively? Create a mindset that lets you empower yourself.
4. Don't worry about the future
The article stated that, "There is a fine line between the future and self-empowerment. Accept the truth regarding what the future holds for you. " Accept new challenges as something empowering and that you can use towards your journey to inner peace.
