The Community Well Fund Council is looking for members!

Are you looking for a way to build community and support grassroots initiatives for change? The Community Well Fund Council (CWFC) is looking for new members to join our leadership team.

We are a volunteer-run nonprofit initiative based in San Francisco’s Excelsior District committed to helping people of all income levels and socioeconomic backgrounds access quality holistic health services supporting early parenthood and overall wellness. The Community Well Fund Council (CWFC) initiated less than 2 years ago, as a way to reduce financial barriers (through the provision of scholarships and free programming) for families and individuals so that they can access holistic health and other wellness services, particularly those provided through an affiliated local community center, Community Well (www.communitywellsf.com).

We are now seeking new individuals with a variety of backgrounds and expertise  to join the CWFC, with the collective goal to maximize impact on the health and wellness of people living in the Southeast of San Francisco. No previous nonprofit Board experience necessary, just a capacity to meet monthly and a desire to get down and do the work that needs to be done in support of your local community. We are specifically seeking individuals with skills or experience in the following realms (though interested individuals should not hesitate to join if you do NOT have any of these skills):

  • fundraising
  • event management
  • marketing
  • strategic outreach & marketing - planning & implementation
  • branding (logo design, website design, materials design)
  • social media (creating an online presence, targeting volunteers and potential donars, etc.)
  • community partnerships; school/community outreach & programming
  • volunteer communication and management
  • donor communication and management

Any interested applicants, please send an email with a brief bio and the reasons that you want to be a part of the CWFC to communitywellfund@gmail.com.
