These workshops are specifically designed for women of color who work hard, doing everything but taking care of themselves. Failure to take care of oneself has led to burnout, fatigue, depression and much more. These workshops will tackle all of the reasons that you have put yourself on the back burner. We will use writing and group discussions to assist you with releasing all of the negative energy and move towards crafting a self-care/wellness plan to get you through your day-to- day life. The workshops will focus on a specific topic and participates will be given time to write (relax) and share one-on- one (relate) and with the larger group (release).
Catherine is a San Francisco based writer and wellness educator from North Carolina. Her passion for writing began while in college studying journalism. She has led leadership development, storytelling and self-care workshops for female youth. Aside from facilitating workshops, Catherine works as a college counselor with high school students in SF. In her years in the education field to avoid burnout, she developed her own self-care and wellness plan and has inspired so many others, especially “helping professionals” to develop one as well.
